Roberta Roller Rabbit, a travel-inspired lifestyle brand announces it will open its second Texas store on May 14th in Houston’s River Oaks District. The store, located on Post Oak Park Drive, will offer exotic, sophisticated yet affordable leisurewear, accessories and home goods with a magical touch.
“Houston was the perfect next step for us. Our relaxed, resort-inspired clothing fits right in with the city’s friendly environment and warm weather,” said Roberta Freymann, founder of Roberta Roller Rabbit. The company, in business since 2003, offers a variety of products, which include clothing for women and children, as well as accessories and home furnishings. Each store offers a range of individually hand blocked printed pieces created and produced by artisans in India. Graphic and floral prints and other wildly popular prints including monkeys, elephants and fish, complete the signature whimsical spirit that has become synonymous to the brand. “We offer customers beautiful, unique items for not only their wardrobe, but for their children and homes as well. We aim to be the place they go to for many different needs,” said Freymann.
In 2006, Roberta Freymann opened her first Roberta Roller Rabbit store on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Today Roberta Roller Rabbit also has stores in Tribeca (NYC), Southampton (NY), East Hampton (NY), Greenwich (CT), Charleston (SC), Kiawah (SC), Palm Beach (FL), Dallas (TX), Los Angeles (CA), San Francisco (CA), Marin (CA), Punta Del Este, Uruguay and most recently in Atlanta (GA). Additionally, in 2009, the company launched the e-commerce site satisfying fans countrywide. The collection is also available in a host of exclusive boutiques including India Hicks’ The Sugar Mill in Harbour Island, The Gasparilla Inn in Boca Grande, Erica Wilson in Nantucket, Katydid in Martha’s Vineyard and Castiglione Del Bosco in Montalcino, Italy.
The 1,900 sq. ft. Houston store will feature hand-drawn stencil art by renowned artists Lisa Wassong and Dominique Lange. Their work, which is ethnically inspired and whimsical, is present in all Roberta Roller Rabbit stores. The artists will develop a theme for the interior that is unique to the architecture of the store and the flavor of Houston.
“Our clients come to us for our playful designs, high-quality products and reasonable pricing. We are excited to expand and offer our unique pieces to Houstonians,” said Chief Marketing Officer of Roberta Roller Rabbit, Christina Panos.
