SkyHouse River Oaks Now Open

Residents have begun moving into the new luxury residential project, SkyHouse River Oaks.

SkyHouse River Oaks features a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units with floor-to-ceiling glass windows with expansive views overlooking the Galleria area, River Oaks and downtown Houston. The units range in size from 561 square feet to 1,428 square feet, and in rent from about $1,600 to $3,900 per month. They feature gourmet kitchens with stainless steel KitchenAid appliances, a glass-top range with touch-sensitive controls, hardwood floors, wood cabinets, granite countertops and units with a combination of walk-in showers and garden-style bathtubs.

Currently, SkyHouse River Oaks is 5 percent leased up and 2 percent occupied after opening the building to residents in mid-August. Simpson Housing, which is managing lease-up of the building, is currently offering a six-week rent concession and a $300 move-in special as construction crews put the finishing touches on the tower.

The so-called “SkyHouse” amenity deck on the top floor features a residents club room with demonstration kitchen and billiards table, a fitness center with separate yoga room, two outdoor plazas with two rooftop heated pools as well as outdoor grills. Two retail shops — including a Glow Nail Spa — will be located on the ground floor. Residents can park in a six-story, 500-space parking garage adjacent to the tower.

SkyHouse River Oaks is expected to attract younger working professionals who desire an urban, high-rise lifestyle in a walkable mixed-use development.
