Weekend Happy Hours In Houston

During the week, Houston has every happy hour imaginable, from oyster happy hours to outdoor happy hours to bars with free food deals. But most restaurant/bars stop their deals once the work week ends and the weekend begins. If you love happy hour as much as we do, you know that Drinks just taste better when they’re half-price. These are our top 21 Happy Hour spots to get the party going on the weekends. 

Daily 11-7 pm
This South American Hotspot’s Bars "social hour" menu features a selection of $2.95 brews and $6 classic cocktails and wines by the glass. Also $6? Small plates like crispy brown butter and habanero chicken wings, smoked lamb lollipops and lobster corndogs. 

Daily 2-7pm

Brennan's of Houston may not come up in conversation as a go-to place for happy hour, but it should. During happy hour, which takes place in their Courtyard Bar, Brennan's offers a 7-7-7 menu that includes seven cocktails, seven wines, and seven appetizers, all for just $7.



Mon-Sat 4-7pm

All Day Thursday

This sexy Latin eatery offers spiced up small plates like pulled pork mini tacos, flaky empanadas, and Ceviche for just $5.95 during happy hour. Also enjoy stellar house cocktails including margaritas, mojitos, and more.



Mon-Fri 4-8pm 

Sat & Sun 12-8pm

Tacos aren’t known to hurt your bank account. This taco and tequila temple takes things one step further by proving the same to be true for tamales, loaded nachos, stuffed jalapeños, chips and queso, chips and guac, and elote, as all are just $5 at HH. In other totally dope news, there’s also $1 Taco Tuesdays, $6 Green Chile Burger Thursdays, and $3 Margarita Mondays.

Sunday 5-9pm

Appetizers at this modern classic steakhouse are gratis if you sit at the bar or in the bistro and order from the happy hour drink menu. Toasted vegetables and miniature pasta on a spoon are among the daily rotating bites and Vallone’s rustic garlic bread is a staple.

 From the Prosecco Cocktail to the Contemporary Negroni and hand-crafted Whiskey Encouragement, cocktails are $5 each.


The Pass and Provisions

Daily 2:30-6pm

The cheap eats at this popular spot include a $5 ham and provolone Stromboli, $1 oysters, $7 calzone with braised greens and ricotta, and an $8 ploughman’s lunch of cheese, liver mousse, pickles and a baguette. All perfect for soaking up $2 High Life brews and $3 beers on tap. For $5 each, choose from a classic daiquiri, boozy punch or select glass of wine.



Daily 5-6:30pm

makimono (sushi rolls) and drinks at a steal during Sake Social Hour. 

Drinks: Cold ($6), unfiltered ($3), hot sake ($3), beer ($3), and wine ($7). 

Food: Spicy crunchy tuna ($6) and shag tempura ($6). You can also choose from 10 small plates ($3-$6). Local favorites: the walu walu (oak-grilled escolar, candied citrus, yuzupon and myoga) and bacon otoshi (pork belly, kimchee, onion and jalapeno).

Bovine & Barley

Daily 3-7pm

If you love yourself a good $5 happy hour menu as much as we do, this cool kid’s craft brewpub should be in your #HH rotation. Don’t expect basic eats here. Instead, you’ll find excellence in the form of crispy fried chicken skin cracklings, bovine & truffle-hinted poutine, wasabi hot wings, and sesame rib-eye rolls.


Cafe Annie


All night cocktail specials include $6 wines by the glass, $5 domestic beers, and $8 mixed drinks in an upscale lounge and dining atmosphere complete with second-story patio. Choose from a selection of 10 bar bites like roasted mushroom caps and BBQ chicken wings ‘pibil’.


Stones Throw

Daily 4-8pm

Time the evening right and enjoy all cocktails and punches at four successive prices at this buzzy bar. Drinks are $4 at 4 p.m., $5 at 5pm, $6 at 6 p.m. and $7 at 7 p.m.


 Simone On Sunset

A true hidden gem in the heart of the Rice Village! Everything about this place is charming and cozy. Perfect for a date night or happy hour with girlfriends. In other totally dope news, you can swing by 5 days a week and enjoy one of their daily special deals!

Peli Peli's cuisine, known as South African Fusion, features authentic South African delicacies along with American steak, chicken and seafood favorites that are prepared in Chef Paul Friedman's South African style. This style includes marinades, seasonings and spices used in South African cuisine with Dutch, Portuguese and Asian influences. Happy Hour featuring 5 innovative South African cocktails and 7 light bite options for just $6 bucks.


Wooster's Garden 

Mon-Sat 4-6pm

Wooster’s boasts one of the best happy hours in town from 4-7 p.m., when house cocktails and wine are half-off, and most beers on tap are only $3.

Sat&Sun 11-6pm

El Patio has been a Houston staple for fifty years. Opened in 1964 by Fred and Lena Villasana in Rice Village, the restaurant was eventually taken over by brother Richard Villasana who moved it to its now famous Westheimer location. Happy hour features quesadillas, nachos, tamales, margaritas, sangrias, and beer to name a few.


 Bar Boheme

Tue-Fri 4-8pm

All Day Sun & Mon

 All day Sundays, Boheme features $4 mojitos, sangria, margaritas, well drinks and house wines. For $3, beer lovers will find three types of Shiner, two types of Real Ale and Bohemia. When you get hungry, grab one of Boheme's snacks, which include pizzas, empanadas, and a meat and cheese plate. 



Daily 5-7pm & 8-10pm

 Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse has two happy hours every night with food and drink specials starting at $6. During the “5-6-7” happy hour, Fleming’s has a selection of five wines, five cocktails and five appetizers starting at $6 each, available from 5 – 7 PM nightly.  Then there is an “8-9-10” happy hour, with a selection of eight “Perfectly Paired Small Plates” and wines available from 8 – 10 PM nightly.


Sterling House 

Daily 4-8pm

The upscale bar and kitchen distinguishes itself by serving unique craft cocktails in an inviting environment with food that pairs nicely with their drink selection. Happy hour offerings include $5 Margarita, Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and Negroni, $3 Chickpeas, $4 Blistered Shishito Peppers and $8 Third Coast Campechana to name a few. There’s live music and steak night on Wednesdays, as well a half-priced wine, champagne, Frosès, and Prosecco on Thursdays.


The Bonefish Grill

Daily 4-6:30pm

The Bonefish Grill Hand-Crafted Happy Hour Bar Bites menu includes the following small plates priced at $6 each: Sushi-grade Ahi Tuna Poke, Crispy Cod Sliders, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Crispy Au Gratin Bites, Mussels Josephine and Crispy Calamari.Drink specials will feature a selection of Bonefish Grill’s handcrafted martinis and cocktails for $5,  including the Blueberry Lemon Drop, Tropical Tiki Martini, Raspberry Vodka Collins and Fresh Margarita. $4 house wines, $5 mixed drinks


Eddie V’s

Daily 4-7pm

All Day Sun & Mon

Happy Hour in the “V” Lounge at Eddie V’s CityCentre is available nightly 4 to 7 p.m and all night Sunday and Monday. The bites include $1 Louisiana Oysters, $13 jumbo lump crab cakes and $7 Batterfried Oysters. The $6 drinks include cocktails like the Lemon Drop, Cosmopolitan and Classic Martini, El Jimador Traditional Margarita, Bacardi Mojito and select wines by the glass. 

Mon-Sat 4-7pm
Happy Hour at Benjy’s on Washington Avenue and Rice Village run Mon-Sat from 4 to 7 p.m. Both locations offer the same $6 Cocktails $5 Wines & $3 Beers. The food menu, however, varies slightly check out both menus
